Maverick faces The Confessor in a battle. 
 
Maverick and the Confessor had an all-out war, which ended in Maverick's defeat. As he dealt his final blow, the Confessor implied to Maverick that his parents, before their deaths, had been affiliated with the Nazi Party. Meanwhile, Brian Johnson argued with Foc Keller, when he returned to the lab to apologize, he found Doc at the mercy of a group of mutan-hating thugs. Now, Brian risks taking action revealing his mutant powers in public, and chancing exposure of his new identity.
